This group is not about programming, but is for those who already have a good knowledge of computers and are looking to do a bit more than the basic emails, internet, and web browsing. We try to sort out each others problems and tackle subjects like maintaining your own website, data security, smartphones, networking and so on. This is not a teaching group, so we don't have a syllabus, though you should learn something and we can point you to free training. Members are assumed to be sufficiently advanced to be able to bring their own subjects to the group and share with the others. This does not however exclude relative beginners also bringing issues for us to solve and learn from! We also provide software such as MS Office at charity prices for our whole U3A.
