The group meets on the 2nd Monday of the month at 1.30pm
Each month the group studies a different craft such as patchwork, free-style embroidery, quilting, knitting, card-making, etc. Members of the group are encouraged to demonstrate and tutor in their chosen crafts.
Convener: June Budd
The Craft Group has learnt a number of new craft skills under the leadership of one of the members. In February we tried Iris Folding – a paper folding techniques using recycled papers to produce decorative panels for greetings cards. In March we return to needle crafts with a look at embroidery and how to transfer one’s design to fabric. Many of the crafts we tackle require very little expense as they make use of materials that we may have tucked away following other projects. We aim to make something that is useful or decorative, rather than just another sample to tuck away in a drawer!
If you are interested in joining the group, which meets on the 2nd Monday afternoon each month, then contact the convener for more information and a list of items you will need to bring to the meeting.
