Singing

Meets monthly on 1st Friday morning from 10.30am until 12.30pm at West Peckham Village Hall Church Road, West Peckham, ME18 5JL. Please share cars, as parking is limited (including one disability space).

You don’t have to read music, just to have a love of singing old but popular songs. Singing has been proven to improve our sense of happiness and wellbeing. This is a very casual 'singing for fun' group, with NO requirement for members even to be able to sing in tune or harmony! No experience necessary, just come along and join in the fun.

There is no wifi at the hall, so we’ll send you a Link to all Lyrics and Songs in our songbook. They are held on a shared Google Drive so you can easily download offline copies to your tablets and phones to view and practice, whether at home or not. We also provide printed lyric sets for those that cannot do this, and can email any pages you are missing, but we do ask that you print your own where possible to save our time and costs.

Members can make requests to be added to our repertoire - but this needs to be not just a song you like, but one that is easy to sing! We will also need to source the track to be able to broadcast the song in the hall if the Conveners don’t already have it.

Refreshments are provided each month using funds from a small door charge, which also pays for hall hire and practice media (on custom CD for members’ sole use, or your own memory card).
