Pubs, Pies and Pints

Our U3a is blessed with a number of wine appreciation groups but do you fancy sipping real ale and tucking into a pie in a historic pub?

Then the new group, Pubs, Pies and Pints, is for you.

Once a month, day to be decided, we will visit a pub at least 100 years old in Kent or East Sussex and explore its history along with its beer pumps and its lunchtime food menu.

Pubs are disappearing at an alarming rate - 40 a week during lockdown - and their history vanishes with them.

The idea will be to take it in turns to drive so that the driver limits his alcohol intake and pays for the fuel.
