The Kent Network
This link should not to be confused with South East Forum . The Kent Network is a small working party that organises workshops, the South East Conference and SE Forum Summer School at Chichester. Every member across the South East Region (a huge area!) is invited to these events.
The Kent Network comprises all the Chairman in Kent (30) plus others on the Committee who meet together quarterly and share ideas and practices. Study Days are organised by Committee Members of this Network.
South East Forum
The South East U3A Forum exists to enable effective co-operation between the Kent, Surrey and Sussex U3A Networks, so that joint activities such as the Chichester University Summer School, the Spring Conference in the Meridian Hall, East Grinstead, occasional seminars on t topics of relevance to U3As and workshops for U3A group leaders can be organised for all our members.
The Virtual U3A
The Virtual U3A (vu3a), which went live in January 2009, is an online-only U3A, affiliated to the Third Age Trust. One of its principal aims is to provide the U3A experience for those who are rendered isolated in some way by circumstances or geography and unable to play a full part in a terrestrial U3A. More information is available on their website (www.vu3a.org) where one can also apply for membership. Why not pay it a visit? And if you know of anyone who might benefit, please pass the information on.
