National U3A Site

The U3A national site contains a wealth of information which is available to you only if   you  access the member section  of the site. To do this you will need to register a user   name and  password in the sign in section and then after 2 or 3 days you will be able   to enter the site  using the sign in details entered.

The Kent Network

This link should not to be confused with South East Forum . The Kent Network is a small working party that organises workshops, the South East Conference and SE Forum Summer School at Chichester. Every member across the South East Region (a huge area!) is invited to these events.
The Kent Network comprises all the Chairman in Kent (30) plus others on the Committee who meet together quarterly and share ideas and practices. Study Days are organised by Committee Members of this Network.

South East Forum

The South East U3A Forum exists to enable effective co-operation between the Kent, Surrey   and Sussex U3A Networks, so that joint activities such as the Chichester University Summer   School, the Spring Conference in the Meridian Hall, East Grinstead, occasional seminars on t   topics of relevance to U3As and workshops for U3A group leaders can be organised for all our   members.

The Virtual U3A

The Virtual U3A (vu3a), which went live in January 2009, is an online-only U3A,   affiliated to the Third Age  Trust. One of its principal aims is to provide the U3A experience for   those who are rendered isolated in some way by  circumstances or geography and unable to   play a full part in a terrestrial U3A. More information is available on their  website (www.vu3a.org) where one can also apply for membership. Why not pay it a visit? And if you   know of anyone  who might benefit, please pass the information on.

Get Safe Online

The advanced computer SIG have identified a government approved website that offers you an incredible amount of support to make sure that you are using your computer safely.

The website is a unique resource providing practical advice on how to protect yourself, your computers and mobiles device against fraud, identity theft, viruses and many other problems encountered online. It contains guidance on many other related subjects too – including performing backups and how to avoid theft or loss of your computer, smartphone or tablet. Every conceivable topic is included on the site – including safe online shopping, gaming and dating … so now you really can stay safe with everything you do online.

Get Safe Online is a jointly funded initiative between several Government departments and private sector businesses and is the Government’s preferred online security advice channel.
